Drafting Worksheets

Here's a game that we play.

  1. In the morning I build a little figure out of Duplos.
  2. One student draws the figure on a drafting worksheet I made up: top, side, front, and isometric views.  Then, this student takes the figure apart and mixes in some extra pieces.
  3. Another student takes the drawing and the pieces, and has to re-create the figure from the plan.

The kids love it!

It's a fun way to teach realistic drawing, fine motor skills, and spatial skills.  Click this image for an example.
