This is our hub for field trips, enrichment, social outings, and other activities. It should come as no surprise that parents who love their children enough to home school, and who love God enough to join an overtly Christian club, make for a very congenial group.
NCHE is not only a good resource and an active statewide lobby. It also has a wonderful conference every May that serves as our state homeschoolers' convention. The book fair alone is worth the price of admission.
Winning and defending the freedom to home school is no simple matter. It takes a national organization with lawyers keeping a close eye on Congress. What's more, in this day of frivolous lawsuits and over-zealous social workers, many home schools have come under legal threats. This association offers members the clout of a national organization to preserve and protect our civil rights.
